Dismas of Vermont

You can donate directly to Dismas of Vermont, which in turns provides support to all four houses in the Vermont organization. If you would like to make such a donation, you can send the donation to:

In-Kind Donations

Annual Benefit Auctions are held both in Rutland and Burlington each Spring. Some items that are popular include Vacation Getaways (such as weeks or weekends in summer cottages, winter ski vacations, condos in the south or NYC/Boston weekends). Some of past donations include season ski passes, condos in Florida, cottages in Maine and cottages on the Cape. We have had donations of original arts and crafts, gourmet dinners, handyman and handywoman work, interior painting, carpentry, antiques, fine jewelry, tickets to sporting events (Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics, Giants, Knicks) and much, much more. The Sky is the limit!

Bequests

There are a number of ways to bequest funds to Dismas. A simple bequest made by naming Dismas in your will is one way. Setting up a gift annuity to provide you and your family with funding for an agreed period of time with the balance eventually going to Dismas. Irrevocable trusts are another effective way to provide for your family and still support Dismas.

Stocks & Real Estate

Many donors find it beneficial to donate stocks or real estate to an organization. In addition to making a donation to an important cause, there are often positive tax-savings implications as well.
